Marvel Studios has unveiled a teaser trailer for its upcoming movie, “The Marvels,” which features three powerful female superheroes – Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Captain Rambeau. Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris will be reprising their respective roles in the film, which is slated to hit theaters on November 10.
As the third movie of MCU’s Phase Five, “The Marvels” takes place right after the post-credits scene in the season one finale of Disney+’s “Ms. Marvel,” in which Kamala (Vellani) switches places with Carol Danvers (Larson). The trailer confirms that each time one of the Marvels uses her powers, someone else switches places with her. For example, Kamala switches places with S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau, who is Danver’s estranged “niece” while working with Nick Fury in space.
Apart from the body-switching conundrum, the trio of superheroes must also join forces to stop a new intergalactic threat – the Kree Empire.
The footage shown in the teaser trailer was initially revealed at the D23 Expo in 2022. Marvel Studios has since postponed the theatrical release of “The Marvels” from July 28 to November. The film will subsequently be available on Disney+ later in the year. Our prediction is that it will be released on streaming platforms in late December, approximately 45 days after its theatrical release.
